LEARNING OPPORTUNITY 1:  PROJECTS MECHANICAL GRADUATE (3 positions available)

Are you a recently qualified Mechanical Graduate seeking to gain valuable experience within the HVAC Industry?  Then this is the perfect opportunity to kickstart your career and apply your knowledge in a fast-paced project environment.  

As a Mechanical Graduate, you will form an integral part of the HVAC Projects Team in Cape Town (2 positions) and Kwazulu-Natal (1 position).  You will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world industrial challenges, support plant operations, and help drive improvements in processes, reliability, performance, and efficiency. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop your technical and professional competencies whilst progressing your career in a fast-paced projects environment within the HVAC Industry.

Minimum Qualification

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Driver’s license

LEARNING OPPORTUNITY 2:  PROJECTS MECHANICAL INTERN (2 positions available)

If you are a Mechanical Engineering student seeking to complete your 6-months relevant workplace experience in order to obtain your national diploma, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!  Work alongside SME within the industry, gain valuable work experience, explore career paths, networking with professionals and earn an income at the same time.  Then this is the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Mechanical Intern, you will gain valuable workplace exposure to the broad field of air-conditioning in the commercial office space.  You will gain a sound understanding of the various types of air-conditioning systems installed and maintained in commercial, retail centres and the hospitality environment. 

Students who have successfully obtained their formal qualification will then have the opportunity to progress onto the Projects Mechanical Graduate Program.  Successfully absorbed students will be given an opportunity to further HVAC Career further through the SFI Group’s HVAC Accelerated Artisan Program and obtain a trade qualification in air-conditioning at the end of the 36 months.  

Minimum Qualification

  • Grade 12
  • In-serve letter issued by recognized institution requesting Workplace Experiential exposure for student.
  • Able to enter into a 6-month workplace experiential learning program;

LEARNING OPPORTUNITY 3:  BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION GRADUATE (18 months)

This graduate program is ideal for individuals looking to explore various functions within an office and business environment, whilst contributing to the effectiveness of the company’s day-to-day operations.   Duties include but not limited to Frontline / Reception Duties, assist with day-to-day administrative task completion; record maintenance, time-keeping, inventory control and supporting office team members.  

Qualification

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma or Degree in Business Administration

GENERAL LEARNING PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Join any of SFI’s above teams and gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced HVAC environment.

  • South African Citizen
  • Applicant must have not been on a graduate or internship programme prior to applying.  
  • Must be available immediately
  • Clear criminal record
  • Must be medically fit and meet medical standards
