The National Lotteries Commission (NLC), a Scheduled 3A entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), is a statutory body established in terms of the Lotteries Act (Act 57 of 1997), as amended with the purpose of regulating South African Lotteries and administering the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund (NLDTF). Suitably qualified prospective candidates who are South African citizens are invited to submit their applications to fill the position listed below. Purpose
The National Lotteries Commission (NLC) seeking a dedicated, motivated and detail-oriented Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our team. The role will report to the M&E Specialist and the employee will assist in the implementation of M&E frameworks, data collection, analysis and reporting, to support the continuous improvement of our programmes and projects, and grantee compliance. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in M&E and gain experience in data-driven decision-making processes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Health, Statistics, Economics, or Demography
- Training / Certificate in M&E and / or project management is essential
- Language Proficiency- must be proficient in at least two of the official / main provincial languages
Required work experience
- Experience with data collection tools and software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, STATA, Kobo Toolbox, or Power BI) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, or related roles, preferably in the development or nonprofit sector.
- Valid driver’s Licence and not less than one year’s driving experience is essential – note that extensive travel is a requirement for this position.
