Competencies the department seeks:

Key Duties:

  • Verify personal details of Community Work Programme participants.
  • Confirm and process payment information for new and existing participants.
  • Liaise with site managers to correct incomplete or incorrect data.

2. Security Officer (Ref No: DCOG-SO)

  • Salary: R163 680 per annum (Level 03)
  • Location: Pretoria (Head Office)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric (or equivalent).
  • Valid PSIRA registration (Grade C).
  • No experience required.
  • Basic computer literacy (Excel and Word).
  • Basic Security Officer Training.

Competencies required:
Reliability, alertness, interpersonal skills, teamwork, and effective communication.

Technical Knowledge (advantageous):

  • National security environment and government security policies.
  • Laws around public access control and security (including MISS).
  • Emergency procedures.

Key Duties:

  • Control access to premises for both people and vehicles.
  • Patrol buildings and grounds to maintain safety.
  • Keep registers accurate and up to date.
