Capitec Bank is calling on energetic, ambitious, and service-driven individuals to join its Bank Better Champion Learnership Programme. This initiative forms part of Capitec’s National Talent Pipeline, preparing candidates across South Africa for future career opportunities in banking.
This learnership is designed to give young people the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to grow into successful careers within the financial sector.
About the Capitec Bank Learnership
The Bank Better Champion Learnership focuses on helping candidates gain practical experience in client service while also learning how a branch operates. Learners will assist clients, support self-service banking channels, and ensure smooth branch flow.
By the end of the programme, learners will have developed valuable skills for service consulting, positioning them for growth in the banking industry.
Purpose of the Programme
- Welcome and assist clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage branch queues efficiently and guide clients to the right service points
- Provide support at ATMs and other self-service banking platforms
- Gain practical exposure to client service, banking products, and operational processes
Minimum Requirements
To apply for the Capitec Bank Learnership, you must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
- No prior work experience required (ideal for school leavers)
- Clear criminal and credit record
- Must have recognisable fingerprints on Capitec’s banking system
Ideal Candidate Profile
While no work experience is necessary, candidates with the following will have an advantage:
- Experience in retail, financial services, or client service
- Knowledge of Capitec Bank products and services
- Understanding of bank branch operations
Skills and Competencies
Capitec is looking for candidates who demonstrate:
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Interpersonal and relationship-building skills
