THE FACULTY OF COMMERCE AT UCT IS LOOKING FOR A JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW
UCT is an inclusive and engaged research-intensive African university that inspires creativity through outstanding achievements in learning, discovery and citizenship; enhancing the lives of its students and staff, advancing a more equitable and sustainable social order and influencing the global higher education landscape.
The Southern Africa Labour and Development Research Unit (SALDRU) is located in the School of Economics in the Faculty of Commerce, at the University of Cape Town. SALDRU is accredited by the University Research Committee (URC) and conducts socio-economic research on poverty and inequality, labour markets, education, youth and health. Our research is mostly focussed on South Africa, with a recent trajectory that has broadened the scope to several other African countries.
SALDRU invites applications from suitably qualified persons for appointment to a full-time permanent Junior Research Fellow position to support the Explorer and Basic Package of Support projects. The Unit wishes to make the appointment of this soft-funded position as soon as possible. The position is located in Cape Town. Successful candidates located elsewhere in South Africa must be willing to travel to Cape Town as required, at SALDRU’s expense.
