Distribution Services Department

Requirements

  • A relevant 3 years tertiary qualification, preferable in Project Management/ Public Management
  • Up to 2 years’ experience in EPWP Project administrations /Project Management
  • Computer literacy

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the EPWP role players within the branch.
  • Execute EPWP Project implementation function in accordance to the policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate training implementation for all EPWP staff in accordance with the EPWP Skills Development Project and framework.
  • Assist the branch EPWP project coordinator by ensuring that the records of employment of EPWP staff are kept safe and accurate at all times.
  • Keep a record of Payroll weekly payments reconciliation
  • Liaising with all key stakeholders in order to identify opportunities, minimize risks and improve efficiencies.
  • Assist EPWP PO by developing systems for effective management of job creating programs.
  • Consolidate and analyze EPWP statistics and finance reports to relevant key stakeholders.
  • Representing the EPWP recruitment section in community or Sub-council where there are disputes as required by line manager.
  • Responding to enquiries and requests for services from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compiling and monitoring of accurate monthly/quarterly labour reports

Human Resources Department

Requirements

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification (National Diploma, Btech/Bdegree) to the Human Resources discipline.
  • Up to 1 years’ experience in a Staffing unit/Recruitment and Selection function
  • Knowledge of competency-based recruitment methodologies
  • Valid driver’s licence

Responsibilities

  • To provide a client centric and proactive service to all clients in respect of the City’s staffing requirements.
  • To provide specialist advice, guidance and support to all components of the staffing value chain ensuring a comprehensive and integrated service to all stakeholders.
  • To assist in conducting research and benchmarking of best practices in the staffing environment to ensure a centre of excellence approach in the department

Bulk Services Department

Requirements

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree/BEng/BSc/BTech in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in project management and infrastructure maintenance (stormwater and river systems) experience in the Civil Engineering field
  • A valid Code EB driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and compilation of schedules of candidate projects and needs-based budgets for the maintenance, rehabilitation and minor capital works for catchment, stormwater and river infrastructure
  • Under supervision, implement repair, maintenance, refurbishment
    and minor capital works projects
  • Assist with the issuing of wayleaves and permits.
