Position Overview

The Bidvest Insurance Learnership Programme, based in Durban, offers participants the opportunity to gain practical experience in assessing Value Added Product Claims. Learners will collect and process claim-related information via telephone or email, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding service, addressing policyholder queries on claims and policy benefits.
  • Claims Processing: Accurately capture claims, verify policy status and premium payments, and ensure all supporting documentation is complete.
  • Query Management: Handle inquiries from policyholders, suppliers, and internal stakeholders professionally and promptly.
  • Payments and Refunds: Process payments to clients/suppliers and refunds to clients, dealers, or finance houses as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of interactions and claim developments in the claims administration system.
  • Policy Updates: Update policy information as required.
  • Compliance: Uphold the principles of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) in all interactions.
  • Query Resolution: Resolve issues requiring intervention or correction in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy (essential).

Required Skills and Experience

  • General administrative experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
