Requirements
- Diploma or first degree in Media, Journalism, Film, Marketing, Communications or Public Relations
- Minimum five (5) years’ relevant experience
- Computer literacy
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Proven experience in developing clear and engaging content
- Valid Code B driver’s licence
- Willingness to work outside of normal hours
- Willingness to travel to various locations for work purposes
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines within specified timeframes
- Experience within the film industry would be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, support and implement the delivery of quality, professional programmes and services in line with the City’s Integrated Development Plan, the directorate’s strategic objectives, relevant national, provincial policies and legislation with a view to meeting relevant goals and objectives of the City’s Film Strategy
- Develop clear and engaging content suitable for various platforms
- Create content for film websites, newsletters, blogs, marketing materials, and related platforms
- Lead the development of videos, infographics and articles for film
- Contribute to the development of communication and marketing strategies and campaigns film, targeting specific audiences
- Conduct research and investigations to obtain information to develop appropriate content and campaigns for City supported film projects
- Lead, develop and implement monitoring systems on all the department’s digital platforms, including social media accounts and websites
