Driver/Messenger Position at Road Accident Fund

The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is seeking a Driver/Messenger for a permanent, full-time position in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. The job offers a salary of R244,732.00 per annum, and the application deadline is August 12, 2025.
The main purpose of the role is to safely transport people, documents, and goods while following all safety procedures and road regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting and delivering correspondence and packages.
- Maintaining a logbook of visits.
- Performing daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects or accidents.
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Transporting staff and loading/unloading merchandise.
To be considered for the position, applicants must have a Matric or Grade 12 certificate, a valid code 10 (EC1/EC) driver’s license, and a professional driver’s permit. A minimum of one year of experience in a similar driving/messenger role is also required. The RAF, which provides cover to road users and compensates accident victims, subscribes to employment equity principles and gives preference to people with disabilities.
