Environment and Safety Trainee vacancy at the South African Breweries (SAB)

The key purpose of this role is to provide support to enhance technical and leadership skills required to manage Safety & Environment in a Brewery environment and beyond.​

Key outputs and responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance to the applicable occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Ensure compliance to the Environmental Management Act
  • Ensure workplace hazards are identified and communicated to all staff.
  • To monitor and advise on Safety and Environmental Pillar performance
  • Promote Safety and Environmental Awareness
  • Support and facilitate safety improvement interventions
  • Conduct audits and review legal compliance
  • Conduct investigations into incidents
  • Ensure induction of both employees and contractors takes place
  • Effective communication / Presentation  skills
  • Self-managed and assertiveness
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
  • Creative and broad-minded thinker
  • Dynamic Personality

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Safety/Environment Management or equivalent BTech qualification.
