False Bay TVET College & ETDP SETA Internship Programme 2025

False Bay TVET College, in collaboration with the Education, Training and Development Practices Sector Education and Training Authority (ETDP SETA), is offering an exciting 24-month full-time Internship Programme for 2025. This opportunity is designed to give South African graduates workplace exposure, mentorship, and practical skills that align with the country’s national skills development goals.

Interns will receive a monthly stipend ranging from R3 500 to R6 500, depending on their qualifications, while gaining hands-on experience in professional environments.


About the Internship Programme

The programme aims to support unemployed graduates by placing them in various departments across the college. Each placement is structured to build industry-ready skills, enhance employability, and prepare candidates for future permanent roles in education, training, or related fields.


Internship Opportunities

1. Administration Support

Duties:

  • Provide clerical and administrative assistance to teams.
  • Manage filing, record-keeping, data entry, and office coordination.
  • Prepare reports, documents, and official correspondence.
  • Assist with event planning and logistics.

Qualifications:

  • National Diploma/Degree in Office Administration, Business Administration, or Public Management.
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

2. Support Services – Inclusive Education

Duties:

  • Assist in creating inclusive learning spaces for students with disabilities.
  • Provide learning aids and accessibility resources.
  • Work with lecturers to adapt study materials.
  • Promote inclusive practices across the institution.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Education, Inclusive Education, Psychology, or Social Sciences.
  • Knowledge of inclusive learning practices is advantageous.

3. Support Services – Wellness and Extracurricular Activities

Duties:

  • Support wellness programmes, including health campaigns.
  • Help coordinate sports, cultural, and arts activities.
  • Provide guidance and peer support for students.

  • Diploma/Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Health Promotion, or Sports Management.

4. E-Learning

Duties:

  • Support development and management of digital learning platforms.

  • Provide technical assistance to staff and students.
  • Research innovative tools for digital education.

  • Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or E-Learning Development.
  • Knowledge of systems such as Moodle or Blackboard is a plus.

5. Marketing

Duties:

  • Contribute to planning and running marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with social media content, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Conduct research to improve student recruitment strategies.
  • Support branding initiatives and events.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communication.
  • Strong communication skills and creativity.
