GeoSun Bursary 2025
This bursary is for a final (third) year Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEng Tech) student in one of the following disciplines – Electrical, electronic or mechatronic engineering.
Expenses Covered:
The bursary will provide funds for the following expenses: tuition fees, registration fees and books up to an amount of R 40 000.
The following is not covered: accommodation, living allowances and food.
Bursary Requirements:
Upon GeoSUN’s discretion, a successful applicant will be offered a position as a junior technician at GeoSUN when they successfully complete their studies. It is required that the candidate work for GeoSUN at their Stellenbosch offices for a minimum of 1 year at an industry related salary.
Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying – please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered:
- The applicant must be a South African citizen.
- You must currently be studying towards a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEng Tech): (i) In one of the following disciplines: electrical, electronic or mechatronic engineering. (ii) Have completed /passed all the modules of the first two years. (iii) In 2025 will be in your final year of study with the aim to graduate at the end of 2025.
- Your educational institution must be a recognized and accredited university of technology in South Africa, e.g. but not limit to CPUT, CUT, NMU, TUT, etc.
- There are no requirements regarding employment equity / race.
