GIBB Engineering & Architecture is inviting unemployed South African youth to apply for its Youth Employment Service (YES) Internship Programme for 2025/2026.

Programme Overview
The GIBB YES Programme, a partnership between business and the South African government, aims to tackle youth unemployment by offering practical work experience, skill development, and a salary to enhance long-term employability. It is open to unemployed South African citizens aged 18–35, with applications from persons with disabilities strongly encouraged.

- Position: 1 x Student
- Qualification: BTech/National Diploma in Civil Engineering
Thabazimbi (Ref: GIB-351) – Closing September 5, 2025
- Positions:
- 1 x Student with BTech/National Diploma in Civil Engineering
- 1 x Student registered with SACPCMP as a Candidate Health & Safety Officer (CAN CHSO) or with NQF Level 4/5 in Health & Safety
Johannesburg (Gauteng)
- Business Admin/Project/IT/Finance/Supply Chain Management (Ref: GIB-341) – Closing September 30, 2025
- Position: Learner placements in Group Shared Services
- Qualification: National Diploma/Degree in relevant field
- Electrical Engineering (Ref: GIB-344) – Closing September 30, 2025
- Position: Intern
- Qualification: BTech/BEng in Electrical Engineering

General Eligibility Criteria
- South African citizen (born in South Africa)
- Aged 18–34
- Unemployed and available for a 12-month fixed-term contract
- Not a previous YES Programme participant
- Proficient in PC use
- Eager to learn and develop new skills
- Responsible and honest
