The Mentorship Journey

Chapter 1

Know Yourself

We start with sessions designed to help you get to know yourself – your story, your values, your strengths – and understand how this connects to the change you want to create in your community.

Chapter 2

Empathise

Empathy is a critical skill for any leader. In this chapter, you will learn about the different kinds of empathy and how to practice it as well as receive tools to use it to understand and develop solutions to challenges.

Create

With a deepened understanding of the challenge you wish to address, it’s time to create or expand on ideas for solutions. In this chapter your mentor will guide you through activities to map out existing solutions, find gaps and create effective ways to use your unique experience to contribute to a better world.

Chapter 4

Manage Resources

After developing your ideas, it’s time to put them into practice as a project. In this chapter, your mentor will help you practically understand how to do so. You will learn about recruiting and managing a team, communicating your idea to different stakeholders, fundraising, planning, and other topics.

Chapter 5

Persist

Last but not least, you’ll learn to persist. Being a changemaker working to make a difference is challenging and it can be very demanding. In this chapter, you will learn to take care of yourself and your team members, to deal with unexpected situations, and to make your project sustainable.
