Graduate opportunity at Rand Refinery: Final Storage and dispatch

Responsibilities

  • Manual packaging of finished products after the completion of the quality process. This includes the fowling types of products; minted coins, blank coins, cast bars, wires, discs
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tracking stock movements, performing regular stock counts, and updating storage systems to reflect real-time data.
  • Assist in performing quality checks on outgoing products to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards, and handle discrepancies in stock or packaging.
  • Support the customer service team by providing accurate and timely information regarding order status, delivery times, and any potential delays.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the final storage and dispatch process and collaborate with the team to implement more efficient workflows and cost-saving strategies.
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed in the final storage and dispatch, including the safe handling of materials
  • Ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed, and labelled according to customer specifications and timelines. 

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A completed Matric qualification.
  • BTech. / Advanced Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management. 
  • BCom. in Supply Chain Management. 
  • Acquired at least an overall average of 70% at tertiary level. 


SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES

  • Computer proficiency — MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), SAP, SharePoint, Educos and IsoMetrix.
  • Focus on results through quality and safety awareness, managing work, planning and organising, decision making and customer focus.
  • Express potential through adaptability, applied learning, initiating action, innovation, impact and work standards.
