Purpose of the job
To provide an opportunity for successful candidates to participate in an Instrument Mechanician learnership programme in order to attain artisanship by means of trade testing.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Completed N3 or NCV4 certificate in Electrical Engineering (Light Current – Instrumentation).
- Subjects at N3 level: Mathematics, Industrial Electronics, Digital Electronics, Industrial Instrumentation.
- Must have a basic understanding of the applicable trade.
- Medically fit for both plants (BMR and PMR)
Training Programme/Duties and Responsibilities
- Forty-Two (42) months learnership with a set training programme under the auspices of the MQA.
- The learnership will also provide the incumbent with a sound understanding on how to conduct in depth maintenance and repairs of industrial instrumentation to ensure maximum optimisation and minimum downtime of the production sections
