JUST STRIKE

By Lewis Madziire CONTRIBUTOR (Opinions expressed by YOH contributors are their own.)

The hardest thing in the journey to success is finding how to get to the desired goal. You look into the field you want to enter, you see giants manning hard to grab infant players like you and grave them so that they stay afloat in the game.  It crushes you, stabs every piece of energy and motivation life-savers you have to execute the goals. The next thing you have in mind is to quit and forget about the plan.  A big red stop sign seductively calls you to give it attention and in turn giving you respite for your dead end in front of you.

WAIT!

Don’t dive too deep into this illusion and thinking.  It is too early and more shameful to be a coward. This is your goal. It is your brainchild. How could you do that, neck twisting your baby in its infancy when it actually needs you more to get alive? You are a youth. You have the energy to help your goals grow and become wonders full of life.

There are negative things you will hear and see in your career path, entrepreneurial endeavors or even relationships. People will not believe in you nor your dreams. You will appear a crazy person in their sight. Excuses will mount their nice packages to try you to give in and let go. Some will be very valid excuses, but, remember an excuse is an excuse no matter how valid it maybe.

Your reasons and desire to carry out your goals must be big. You ought to have a burning desire. Be aggressive. Be a hungry lion. Be like a wild whirlwind and smack off that barrier stopping you from living your dreams. Nothing can stop you because your goal defines you, it is in you, it is you. Your why must be bigger than your excuses.

You have waited long enough. You have wasted enough time and energy idling and procrastinating. Nobody can pat you on the back and say well done murderer for letting your vision that could change lives and impact the world die in your ocean of laziness.  NOBODY.

Buckle up. Pull up your socks. Swallow your pride and push aside you fear. You need to focus on the real deal. The game of success requires that you be on point. The big players started small, probably smaller than you are now. They were clueless. They did not know much about what is in the game. The more they got used to the hustle the more they became pros and winning became their nature.

You will start small and finish strong. It might not make sense now but later on, it will. You are a student now, later on, you will be the teacher leading the way. The path is always unclear until it is made clear by those who use it. The first step to success it to get started. Start now, tomorrow is unknown. Just be curious and do it. JUST STRIKE.

The Reasons You’re Scared to start/https://www.perspective-collective.com/facing-your-fears-the-reasons-youre-scared-to-start/

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself” – Franklin D. Roosevelt I never fully understood this quote until now and how it applies to my life. Fear is the driving factor which keeps us stalled and prohibits the progression of moving forward.
