PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To be trained towards an artisan in a Learnership programme.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12/STD 10/ NQF Level 4 equivalent is essential
- A minimum of N2 with four (4) complete subjects or NCV level 4, with subjects relevant to the trade is essential.
The candidate must:
- Undergo knowledge assessment, psychometric assessment and attend a formal interview.
- Obtain a medical fitness certificate (Red Ticket) and Heat Tolerance Screening (HTS)
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:
The successful candidate will be responsible to:
- Be trained towards an artisan in a structured learnership programme.
- Assist artisans in their job functions and also perform technical work (fix, replace and maintain equipment by applying engineering principles.
- Successfully complete all engineering training phases and through on and off the job training to qualify as an artisan.
- Get accustomed to Marula Mine rules, regulations and standards to ensure organizational best practices and legislative compliance are adhered to.
- Work effectively and diligently with an allocated coach (artisan or foreman) in ‘supervised environment’.
- Conduct basic fault diagnosis, problem solving and reporting.
- Maintain engineering equipment efficiently and help prevent production losses. Act as supervisor with limited authority to gain supervision skills and experience
