Internship Overview

Minimum Requirements
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A three-year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with major subjects in:
- Accounting
- Economics
- Finance
- Risk Management
- Auditing
- Computer literacy.
- Good communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans, English, or isiXhosa).
- A valid Code B Driver’s Licence.
Key Performance Areas
As part of the programme, interns will be expected to:
- Carry out programme-driven tasks related to municipal financial management.
- Gain exposure to financial systems, including revenue, expenditure, and asset management.
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and control of budgets.
- Provide support in supply chain and procurement processes.
Important Notes for Applicants
- All applicants will undergo reference checks, qualification verification, and criminal record screening.
- A valid SAPS Clearance Certificate (not older than 6 months) or proof of application must accompany the application and be available at the interview.
