Nampak is looking for 2 Apprentices in the Electrical field to join its Metals Vanderbijlpark plant (Gauteng). These positions report to the Plant / Technical Trainer.
Key responsibilities include
- Completion of all required theoretical modules for the trade.
- Undergoing intensive on-the-job training and other related training.
- Providing support to the production process with adequate levels of availability and reliability.
- Demonstrating the ability to practically conduct maintenance and installations.
- Acquiring problems solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Adhering to plant rules and regulations.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Must be in possession of a Matric Certificate, with Maths, Physical Science and English second language with a minimum of 50% pass mark.
- Must provide certificate and results (transcript) for NTC3 (or Higher).
- Minimum NTC3 engineering, with relevant trade theory as a subject.
- A good engineering understanding at a basic level.
- Team orientation, be systematic and well organized.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Good interpersonal & communication skills, positive attitude, able to use own initiative, team oriented, systematic, and well organized.
- Ability to work overtime and shifts when required.
