The North West Parks & Tourism Board (NWPTB) invites unemployed South African graduates to apply for its 2025 Graduate Internship Programme. This 12-month structured programme provides practical workplace experience in tourism, conservation, and related fields, fostering skills development and employability while contributing to the province’s biodiversity and tourism economy.

Programme Overview
The NWPTB Graduate Internship Programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional experience. Interns will gain hands-on exposure aligned with their field of study, contributing to the Board’s mission of sustainable biodiversity management and tourism development in the North West Province.
Internship Opportunities Available
The programme offers placements in the following areas:
- National Diploma in Nature Conservation (10 posts)
- Gain field experience in conservation practices, wildlife management, and sustainable resource use.
- Diploma/Degree in Tourism Management and Development (10 posts)
- Training in tourism development, destination management, and community tourism initiatives.
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Management (5 posts)
- Exposure to HR processes, including recruitment, staff development, and organisational management.
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management (2 posts)
- Focus on environmental planning, compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen, aged 18–35 years.
- Be unemployed at the time of application.
- Hold a relevant qualification (National Diploma, Degree, or Bachelor of Science) from a recognised public institution (University or University of Technology) in one of the specified fields.
- Be passionate about contributing to conservation, tourism, or public sector development in the North West Province.
