The main purpose of the Instructional Designer role is to drive the delivery of fit for purpose learning and in time learning through the creation of online learning content. Focus on digital content development with specific emphasis on animation.
Accountability for the design, development and implementation of content development standards to ensure standardisation and consistency. The role also requires the management of the delivery of content by the Graphic Designer and the Superuser Instructional Designer.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure adherence to the standards, governance and guidelines through the quality assurance of all content development projects.
- Track and report on cost savings through internal content development and track and report on external spend for content development on a weekly basis.
- For internal content development projects follow the Instructional Design guidelines (i.e. the ADDIE Model) and involve internal stakeholders in the key milestones of the project.
- For internal content development projects assigned to the superuser/instructional designer and instructional designer, ensure adherence to content development guidelines and standards by conducting quality assurance on the completed content development project.
Requirements
- 3+ Years with at least 2 years in Instructional design of content using Articulate software and Adobe creative cloud for animation and illustrations
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic design, E-learning Content developer, Content designer, or Information Design.

- Execution capability: The underlying ability to execute a strategy/project or day to day work
- Problem Solving: Is a step-by-step process of defining a problem, searching for information, and testing a series of solutions until the problem is solved. In involves critical thinking, analysis and persistence.
- Self-Mastery: Takes accountability for driving own growth through developing self-awareness, reflecting, seeking feedback and self-correcting
