Minimum Required Qualification:

  • Level 1: Grade 9 Certificate GET Services

The Appointee should:

  • NQF 1 General Education Certificate (GEC) (Grade 9 or equivalent) or equivalent ABET 4 qualification.
  • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
  • Clear security screening record

Advantageous Qualifications:

  • Grade 12

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in relevant working area will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities

Tasks/duties performed: • Knowledge and understanding of safety, health and environmental legislation. • Knowledge of mining standards, procedures and logistics. • Knowledge of relevant legislation. • Performs a few simple repetitive tasks involving mostly manual effort, e.g. sweeping, digging, loading, etc. • Works under supervision. • Duties may include the operation of simple equipment/machinery. • Engage in effective teamwork. • Report any safety related issues to the full-time Safety Representative. • Participate in required meetings. • Work within applicable Safety, Regulations, Acts, Codes of Practice and standards.
