Want to live and work in the United States of America? The State Department website for the 2022 Diversity Visa Program (DV-2022) is now open. Applying for the US Diversity VISA Program 2022 – DV Lottery 2022, as some people will call it – is easy. You can apply through the State Department website dvprogram.state.gov (link to the U.S visa application website provided below).
The entry submission period for DV-2022 is from 12:00PM EDT (GMT -4) on October 7, 2020 to 12:00PM EST (GMT -5) on November 10, 2020. The entry form will only be available for submission during this period and this period only. Entries will NOT be accepted through the U.S. Postal Service.
Eligibility for US Diversity Visa Program 2022 – DV Lottery 2022:
- For the purposes of eligibility some countries include components and dependent areas overseas.
- Please read carefully about eligibility in the DV-2022 Program Instructions (PDF) – Embeded PDF is in English version, other versions are available at the official website
- If you are a native of a dependency or overseas territory, please select the appropriate country of eligibility.
- For example, natives of Macau S.A.R should select Portugal, and natives of Martinique should select France.
Application Procedures for the US Diversity Visa Program 2022 – DV Lottery 2022
US visa application is currently done through the U.S visa application website (dvprogram.state.gov) or website domicile to the countries US embassy (e.g ng.usembassy.gov for application through US Embassy and Consulate in Nigeria)
However, the entry form for the US Diversity Visa Program 2022 will only be available for submission through the U.S visa application website (dvprogram.state.gov) during the stipulated application period only. Entries will NOT be accepted through the U.S. Postal Service.
Important Notes About US Diversity Visa Program 2022 – DV Lottery 2022:
All DV-2021 diversity visa program applicants must be found eligible for, and obtain, their visa or adjust status by the end of fiscal year 2021 (September 30, 2021).
All DV-2022 diversity visa program applicants must be found eligible for, and obtain, their visa or adjust status by the end of fiscal year 2022 (September 30, 2022).
