Job Description

The OPFA is offering a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) College students who have completed their N6 Financial Management qualification and require practical experience to graduate. Applicants with other N6 qualifications relevant to the Financial Management discipline are also invited to apply.

Requirements

  • Ability to analyse, interpret, solve problems and good grasp of financial terms.
  • Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, Ms Outlook).
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidentiality and trustworthiness.
  • Team player and reliability.
  • Numerical skills.
  • Planning and organising.
  • Result driven and self-motivated.

Responsibilities:

The individual will be exposed to the following areas:

  • Asset Management.
  • Provide clerical support to the Finance management team.
  • Attend all Finance departmental meetings and provide clerical support.
  • Scanning and filing of payment batches.
  • Monthly petty cash counts.
  • Creditors invoices capturing and processing.
  • Monthly journals processing.
  • Monthly bank and other reconciliations processing.
  • Monthly Trial Balance.
  • Monthly depreciation journals.
  • Monthly Prepayment schedule monthly and journals.
  • Compilation of Finance Reports.
  • Compilation of Management Accounts.
  • Compilation of Treasury reports.
  • Assist with audits.
  • Keep all correspondence relating to your work including telephone calls, emails, and others.
  • Assist project team members and management with document preparation and review.
  • Attend to any other relevant requests from the reporting line manager.
  • Maintain accurate and safekeeping of all the finance records.
  • Record in the Workplace-Based Learning Logbook supplied by the TVET College the learning outcomes, tasks and other relevant reports, as required by the College.

Program Stipend: R8,500.00 per month

Requirements

  •  Have completed an N6 qualification from a TVET College.
  • Age must be between 18-35 years.
  • Be an unemployed South African citizen.
  • Provide a letter from their college confirming completion of theoretical studies and practical training requirements.
  • A Workplace-Based Learning Logbook supplied by the TVET College to document their daily tasks and responsibilities
