Unisa Enterprise & MICT SETA Graduate Internship Programme 2025

The Unisa Enterprise, in partnership with the Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA), is inviting applications for the Graduate Internship Programme 2025. This opportunity is available to 30 unemployed graduates based in Gauteng Province who are eager to gain workplace experience and entrepreneurial skills in the ICT sector.

The Unisa Enterprise & MICT SETA programme is designed to provide not only ICT-related practical skills but also enterprise development training. On successful completion, interns will receive a recognised Enterprise Development Programme Certificate, an added advantage when pursuing career opportunities in ICT or entrepreneurship.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a South African citizen and currently unemployed.
  • Hold a National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a related ICT field.
  • Reside in Gauteng Province.
  • Have access to a personal laptop.
  • Be available for the full duration of the programme.

Employment Equity Targets

Preference will be given according to equity targets to ensure inclusivity and transformation within the ICT sector:

  • 85% Black candidates
  • 54% female candidates
  • 4% persons with disabilities

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit the following:

  • A certified copy of their South African ID (issued within the last 3 months).
  • Certified copies of qualification certificates.
  • A comprehensive CV and a motivational application letter.
  • An affidavit from the police station confirming that they are not currently enrolled in another SETA-funded programme.
