Mine Planning Intern
Job Purpose
This internship will equip an incumbent with the skills and experience required to build a successful career in Mine Planning. The incumbent for the role will become familiar with large scale open pit mining operations and will be responsible for scheduling and sequencing mining activities and tracking compliance to said schedule.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12/ Matric Certificate.
- Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering from accredited institution.
- Open Pit experience (advantageous).
- Registered or eligible for registration with a recognised professional association.
- Demonstrated ability to meet technical and responsibility requirements of a Mining Engineer.
- Valid driver’s license code 08.
- Certificate of fitness to work in a mining environment.
Geotechnical Intern
Job Purpose
This internship will equip an incumbent with the skills and experience required to build a successful career in Geotechnical Engineering. The incumbent will assist the Strata Control Officer in implementing the Strata Control functions at designated areas, providing critical geotechnical support to meet operational requirements. Key responsibilities include conducting audits, identifying hazards, and ensuring remedial action is taken timeously.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12/ Matric Certificate.
- Diploma/Degree in Geology or Mining Engineering from accredited institution.
- Open Pit experience (advantageous).
- Registered or eligible for registration with a recognised professional association.
- Demonstrated ability to meet technical and responsibility requirements of a Mining Engineer.
- Valid driver’s license code 08.
- Certificate of fitness to work in a mining environment
