About the Administrative Clerk (WARMS) Post

Requirements
- A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Appropriate experience in general office administration and data capturing
- Computer literacy, with a sound knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Practical experience in client services, letter writing, and report writing
- Experience in the national water use registration process
- Knowledge of the National Water Act (Act 36 of 1998) and other relevant legislation
- Ability to work under pressure
Key Duties
- Issuing relevant registration forms to water users
- Assisting users in completing application forms, and checking forms for completeness
- Capturing application forms for new users onto the WARMS system
- Amending information of registered users in line with approved outcomes
- Generating confirmation documents and preparing registration certificates for approval
- Copying and sending out registration certificates to registered users
- Keeping records of correspondence received from clients, and maintaining decision documents in official property files
- Fulfilling help desk functions for water users
