Ninety One wants to back talented young students who need a helping hand financially and otherwise to pursue their ambition of studying at a tertiary institution and to go on to make a meaningful contribution to South Africa’s economy.
What Bursaries are available?
If you are starting your first year at university in 2026, you’re the change we want to invest in. Their wide range of bursaries are in these related fields of study:
- Business, Finance and Economics
- Technology and Computer Science
- Engineering
- Psychology
- Healthcare (excl. medicine, dentistry, veterinary science)
- Education (Mathematics and Science)
What is the criteria?
- Intend on studying full time in one of the aforementioned fields of study, at a South African university
- Demonstrate academic excellence
- Demonstrate leadership qualities
- Preferably have obtained a minimum of 70% in English and Mathematics or Sciences in Grade 11
- Be a South African citizen under the age of 21 in 2026
- Demonstrate financial need (Typically a family income of less than R600 000 per annum)¹
- Meet the minimum entrance requirements for their chosen field of study
