The City of Johannesburg is inviting qualifying students from Johannesburg communities to apply for its Women and Elderly Internship 2026 within the Social Development Department.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
A BA Social Sciences Degree.
A BA Developmental Studies Degree.
Or a BA Degree in Gender Studies at NQF Level 7.
A qualification completed with a minimum of 360 credits.
Must be a resident of the City of Johannesburg.

What Will You Do?

The internship provides exposure to the planning, implementation and coordination of programmes focused on women and elderly beneficiaries.

Planning and managing Women and Elderly programmes and projects.
Providing general support to managers within the unit.
